Elephants' Walk is a unique family-run operation, where every person there can (and does) call the place 'Home'. Unlike other commercial ventures, Elephants' Walk has a policy of reserving a specific portion of the area for our community-based artisan development program The Ruoko Project.
The Michaelangelo Foundation has accorded several of these creatives Homo Faber Master Artisan status.
Visitors can interact with local arts and craft creators, see and participate in unique work in progress and meet local people in their everyday lives. We actively curate the selection of shops to show the best of Zimbabwe and the continent, with each outlet a discovery of something fresh and different, all with the best quality. We believe the future of tourism retail lies in this concept and are proud supporters of Zimbabwe, its' art and craft and its' people.
